LaTasha R. Jones received a Master’s in English from East Carolina University concentrating in creative writing with a focus on nonfiction. (Read her Outstanding Graduate Student speech.) She is most interested in black, multi-cultural, and Southern literature; narrative and prose poetry, and creative nonfiction that reflects real life candidly and without reserve. Her writing tends to focus on matters of race and iniquity, civil rights and liberties, cultural and historical erasure and assimilation, and, of course, love.

She carries her Nikon D60 wherever she goes. LaTasha has work published and/or forthcoming in Expressions, Rebel, Main Street Rag, and Her Magazine.
